Exploring the eclectic with the 4:12 session… what’s the ideal length of a track? For this session my selection was based solely on the length of each track! We end up with a sexy, ambient, latinized, funky and soulful 2 hour session… only two tracks are not 4 minutes and 12 seconds in length. Enjoy!

A real treat for you all, over at the BBC FOUR iPlayer site this week, four episodes of the landmark BBC 2 televisual series from the 1960′s, Jazz 625, my favourite of which is the Thelonious Monk Quartet session, with Ben Riley, Larry Gayles and Charlie House…. this episode was introduced by British Jazz legend Humphrey Lyttleton (RIP) whom i had the great pleasure of meeting once upon a time… enjoy! also find quite a few Jazz 625 clips on youtube.com.
