Exploration session… let’s now begin our true exploration of jazz.
These sessions will be free of genre. This session contains a featured song and artist. Our song this session is three beautiful versions of Butterfly. Our featured artist is Syl Johnson with two extremes from his 1970 album Is It Because I’m Black, the funk floor killer Right On and the blues feel black awareness title track. We also have an atmospheric number from the Duke, 70’s funk from Africa, soulful groove from the Mann, gospel jazz from the Byrd, and an unusual ending with the other Duke. Enjoy…

JazzPod 020 Exposé

Exposé session… first of many we hope! It’s taken a while for this one to surface [personal tragedy] and I apologise for the delay. I have also very briefly introduced this session.
Thank you and BIG respect to all of you who sent in the music, it wasn’t possible to fit them all in on this first session but we’ll make room for the good stuff in later ones. Most of the music in this session is new or recent with a couple of exceptions for my own pleasure. In the enhanced version you will find links embeded for the artists websites (those marked with an asterix contain embeded music).
