What’s coming up in 2010 on jazzdj.co.uk… Well, we have the Soup Sessions Live show coming up EVERY Wednesday 9pm-1am GMT (Only one show a month will go into the Mashed Potato feed, so tune in to the Live shows) with JazzDJ and guests. Jazzcasts are back on the monthly agenda, continuing the Exploration of jazz. We also have some very special one-off club nights coming up in 2010, watch this space!

We end up with a sexy, ambient, latinized, funky and soulful 2 hour session… only two tracks are not 4 minutes and 12 seconds in length. Enjoy!

A real treat for you all, over at the BBC FOUR iPlayer site this week, four episodes of the landmark BBC 2 televisual series from the 1960’s, Jazz 625, my favourite of which is the Thelonious Monk Quartet session, with Ben Riley, Larry Gayles and Charlie House…. this episode was introduced by British Jazz legend Humphrey Lyttleton (RIP) whom i had the great pleasure of meeting once upon a time… enjoy! also find quite a few Jazz 625 clips on youtube.com.

As a Christmas treat we have a Sherlock Holmes mystery, The Night Before Christmas. A 30 minute radio broadcast circa 1944 with the best (in my opinion) actors who graced the roles, Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce! Show is found in the feed only!

Woops… been a while! Back doing what i love best with a monster funk session, a frenzied crate digging of funk compilations sinks its teeth into this, the ping pong session. Soulful, gritty, soundtrackish funk keeps it funking for over 2 hours! Enjoy! Peace! Great music to play ping pong too…
